OUR COMMITMENT
Elliott Bay Brewing Company believes every guest deserves a great experience, online and in person. We’re actively working to ensure our website meets WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards, the internationally recognized benchmark for web accessibility.
This means building a site that works well for people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice controls, and other assistive technologies. It also means keeping our content readable, our colors distinguishable, and our navigation clear.
What We’re Doing
- Auditing our site against WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines
- Fixing color contrast issues on buttons and interactive elements
- Adding proper labels to forms, navigation, and interactive controls
- Ensuring all images and menus have accessible text alternatives
- Improving keyboard navigation across all pages
- Adding screen reader support for event calendars and filters
STANDARDS WE FOLLOW
- WCAG 2.1 Level AA – Web Content Accessibility Guidelines published by the W3C
- ADA Title III – Americans with Disabilities Act, covering places of public accommodation
- Section 508 – Federal accessibility requirements we use as additional guidance
SCOPE
This commitment applies to all public pages on elliottbaybrewing.com, including our location pages, menus, event calendar, and online ordering links.
Some third-party content (embedded maps, payment processors, external ordering platforms) is managed by outside vendors. We work with these partners to encourage accessible experiences but cannot guarantee their compliance.

HOW WE EVALUATE
Our accessibility audit combines automated scanning tools (axe DevTools, WAVE) with manual testing using keyboard navigation and screen readers. We test across multiple browsers and devices.
