Enough can’t be said about our brewing team’s commitment to organic beer. Only a fraction of breweries are organic, less than 1% in fact, it’s not easy being green. Our team of brewers have built a program around sustainable beers that require ongoing adjustments to everything mother nature and market forces challenge us with. A passion for craft and love for process makes this brewing team and beers unique. We hope you enjoy the product of our commitment to supporting a more sustainable world one pint at a time.Â
We have been extremely excited about introducing our beer in cans over the past year, especially at local stores like the West Seattle Thriftway. You will find a wide variety of styles, many of which are sporting the USDA Organic seal. We are also bottling our wide variety of barrel-aged and spontaneously fermented beers. Always something new on the horizon.
Elliott Bay Brewing Co. has been organic since 2008. Sourcing organic ingredients on the wide variety of beers we make is no easy challenge. The decision to “Go Organic” stems from our commitment to support the grain and hop farmers who refrain from using synthetic fertilizers and avoid GMOs in their agricultural practices and a strong desire to deliver a “conscientious pint” to our customers.
In addition to the lineup of year-round organic house beers, our brewers share a passion for crafting unique seasonal offerings, producing as many as 25 different recipes throughout the year. The majority use 100% certified organic raw materials, so the next time you drink one of our organic beers, feel good about what went into that glass and the support it shows to our environment.
